  2. Because when they want to correct they'll need it if they want to survive the intrusion. The whole idea behind a lot of these failure economic systems is that trying to manage the worlds finances is too difficult and rqeuires too much concentrated power. Now with Ai, maybe they're going to try and do it. That is the theme of this round of authoritarians anyways: naive do-gooders just trying to keep the scheme running.
