That tells you they were stuck on the plane for a long time while the doofuses played around with the engine.

@TheStaniG well duh I'm not a pilot. I actually had to earn my job with merit and not get a free ride from old folks giving up on the industry. 2024 there's a good chance you don't DEIserve that job

Somehow I seriously extremely indubitably cannot concur that TRUCK DRIVERS give a shit about that. Just the idea that you could have an illegal and unsafe load means for a fact that some insanely high percentage of drivers are carrying one.

@kennethlauer4735 yeah but there's hundred thousand other simple minded truck drivers out there, so regardless of your virtue signaling, do you trust the average blue collar man to put safety over the next paycheck? There are graveyards full of men and body parts that prove all in all we don't. That's not a dig against blue collar work it's just a fact of the general population. The filter for truck driver personalities is mostly a willingness to not be home for days or weeks at a time. Not exactly NASA.

@kennethlauer4735 I mean you were signalling that you have a virtue as an ambassador to the truck community. You were literally doing it. I really dont care to hear people pass the buck onto the young people in their industry, and all the other drivers on the road. That's not what a man does. Especially considering you are all regular drivers with an extra license that takes a few weeks to a few months to get. Big deal. Why are you acting like you're in a special guild with character requirements? The average truck driver is just like the average person. There is no unique moral code. I think that's generous to say the least.

@kennethlauer4735 And I would say that first part is all about social engineering and redistributive bullshit. It has nothing to do with young or old or anything. Its about the entire economy being for sale. I do have a lot of anger. But it doesnt matter. It doesn't matter what I think or feel or what my experiences are IF I CANT EAT. So you say talking more politely might help. Others say networking or not thinking about this stuff. Maybe If I just focus on work it will be better. IM ALREADY THERE. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE. Its my gd right to bitch for 2 hours a day and then spend 12 hours coding, "i might like" to jerk off every fucking day but that isnt the kind of world I was born into. I have an interview in twenty minutes at the most diverse company in the world. probably going to tell them to eat shit.

@kennethlauer4735 good conversation and networking. Just more of what this economy needs. That's people who work off the money printer think. Salesmen. Managers. And public money wheres. All we need is truth and work. The truth is not always friendly. My anger will survive with me if I keep working and keep telling the truth. Your work will probably will not survive the next crash.

@purdysanchez I think you have this wrong. The old men are not leaving. That's the other half of the problem. They are being coerced to stick around and train and maintain the company through these lackluster replacements. It is a doomed scheme. It ONLY makes sense in a free PPP loan environment and I fear the amount of federally granted money is so high at this point that the train has enough momentum to go off a cliff. If you have a bunch of riots and are expecting no new business, AND FREE MONEY FOR LABOR, the only "smart" short term move is to hire diverse, collect the free money, AND hedge against protests/riots hurting you. So that very specific moment in time means these companies are lacking for long term employees, which has huge consequences for their ability to maintain as these old guys die.
