  2. This is another bait headline. If zoomers are lacking in skills the majority reason says its because work was shut down for 2 years on top of jobs disappearing. And there seems to be a concerted effort to ignore this despite Europe obviously being in a complete recession right now but the US seems to just be ignoring it.

  4.  @あさきぬち  The devs are the most valuable part. They just aren't being hired based on skill. The problem is not that devs pay too much focus on things that dont matter. Bullet drop and ballistics matter a lot for immersion. Escape From Tarkov would be dead if not for their attention to detail with gun play, and they fuck up literally everything else. But they've offered a unique experience. The problem is these companies are all based out of SF and SD and they hire people, and build prioducts, based on a stagnate model of cost cutting and demo quotas, instead of innovation. That's why the entire tech industry is being stripped down. It's a great time to be unemployed in tech because every day you can google "layoffs" and filter by "last 24 hours" and see the hundreds, or thousands, or tens of thousands of new friends you have. It's not just gaming. It's Brave New World IRL.

The other smaller states have been so ravaged by the economy and drugs that they become irrelevent holes where opportunistic hucksters play monopoly and pass the most bizarre legislation.

  8. ​ @Fickji  Because a big part of the disgust most people have is the feeling that the person is artificial. And in real life, the motion, jiggling, and warmth all disabuse of you that feeling. I am pretty grossed out by the idea of plastic surgery in general, and when I can tell it's fake I'm really turned off. But even I get turned on by the latest line of DSLs from the right angle. It's weird baboonery but it does work up close. The magic doesn't work through a lens with a direct angle. And even when it's a bad job, if they are adding volume, which is adding a curve, which your brain is more likely to notice even if it is obscene.

If you and 10 other people shared a robot with the ability to focus on agriculture and was functional, you would never need money again. money is a means to transfer resources. Once you have enough controlled power you don't need a society anymore.
