As soon as they had the power to hold it and squirrel it away for federal use, they did. Best example of this is Florida vs Nevada. Florida is something like ~7% protected land (the land, not the water) and it is beautiful. They have preserved land all over and it's all great. A lot of it. In every region of Florida there are parks. And also, the general public can use the rest of the land as they see fit. The vast majority of it. That's how it's supposed to work. The federal government is not supposed to own EIGHTY PERCENT of the fkn land like they do all along the west coast. its OBSCENE.

  3. the parks in florida are great and are 7% of the landmass. It makes no sense states on the west coast like Nevada are 80% owned by the federal government. Its a scam.
