Can someone explain this like they're talking to an idiot? I just listen to the Euro dollar man in the background because he has a soothing voice, to the point that I actually can't focus on what he says even when trying.

@Shawnsrumi No I mean specifically how does selling treasuries help with that. They're essentially buying dollars. My suspicion was that given the amount of collusion between continents participating in Western economies, pooling labor and growing middle classes out of mainly US companies (and I wont get into the Uncle Thomas nature of this), that we have essentially shared our crash with half the world. And I see this manifesting mostly on the edges, and not hurting the US companies at all. Which is great for the older peopel in my family but still sucks for the yougner people. Anyway I wanted to understand the need for cash by countries like Japan and it seems like essentially we have the same problem, but they have no printer. So they're boned. And that problem being they have killed competition, created an unproductive uncompetitive economy, and are heavily reliant on printed money.

@Shawnsrumi I know a lot of people would like this to have effect but we're really not going to know what will happen with that until it gets to that point. US could beg, bargain, steal or kill their way out of it, and so most countries would wait before dumping. Seems like a bigger deal than people make of it though. Like bowling 85 degrees into the guard rail

@jkmarshall3553 Feelings always enhance the "business". But the real answer is I have a mediocre understanding of finance markets so it can go over my head. All I really want to hear is the sky is falling because I'm a software engineer in the US with citizenship. That alone should explain my POV.
