@sdrc92126 Pie in the sky thinking. Whether it outsourcing or ai, The global economy runs off a strong American consumer. If you're replacing all white collar work in US but not replacing their income, congrats you just killed the global economy. It'd be convenient to think "we've reached utopia, we have to rethink everything". But the reality is this is just another wave of ambitious (but asinine) middle management trying to save some bucks, and overall failing. Much more realistic pov than "oh wow the ai is doing everything, beating off inflation with productive increases and price reductions"? no. Because it's not.

@ryankagy6711 That kind of job was always a luxury, and rarely paid well. Alternatively, you have the average jr/mid level programmer being outsourced. That's A LOT MORE MONEY being lost to remittance or not being invested at all. These people grease just about every possible wheel in every little business. And they're being replaced. That's why unemployment remains lower than expected. Native workforce participation for the average man is 60%.
