@marvinstruckmeyer2259 I'm going to give him more credit and say he was saying the correct thing, which is that is is over-valued. They do not have anything resembling AGI. They have tokenized web content and used that to train LLMs. That creates some pretty cool functionality but is not consistent and also isn't based around logic. It's based around the emergent logic found in online forums. Which isn't that much. Until they can modularize it into actual logical thinking parts, it's not ai. It's a glorified search engine. And every new function is extremely expensive in the amount of data required and the amount of energy needed to run. And they are fresh out of new data. Everything will have to be farmed through captchas and what-not moving forward and the more complex processes CANT be. So what we have is the exact same machine learning landscape that we had 20 years ago. Not much has changed. The new tech (LLMs) are great but expensive and cannot be refined much further.
