Basically an advanced compression

@christophermoore6110 Of human intellect. If you give it a problem that is novel and not anywhere near an existing problem already solved and documented online, it cannot do shit. It can barely handle the complexity of a monolith without 35 years of documented troubleshooting. It is an advanced search filter.

@0akland510 I don't even think we have that. You could take that long to create an LLM that can answer every single question that any human TODAY can. But TOMORROW it will fail when you have a new problem. Kinda scary when you realize we are heading into stagflation and everyone is investing in a tool to replace the already stagnant regurgitation of "experts".

As an aside I think it would be insanely expensive to run. Humans have a fairly unique brain that uses a lot of energy. It's about 20% of your total calories intake. That is 20% of the global food GPD which is 11.2 trillion. So running the current human brain intellect costs about 2.2 trillion a year just to power, let alone train, maintain, etc...

@0akland510 Yes exactly. It would be like an exponential reduction in the amount of data needed, and would fail more often working with older, more brittle, information stacks (from a blind first-attempt ). What we have right now is almost the exact opposite.

@sjcsscjios4112 You have it backwards. Where is the proof of this advanced ai. Where are the advancements.

@gregthemadmonk Modern VR has very limited pathway as far as design, so a ton of mediocre "gurus" have "predicted" it for over 100 years. John was most likely parroting Altman, who was lying. And who was punished for lying.

@cate01a 4o is garbage.
