  1. In Europe, only Scandinavia and the balkans have important forested areas. Amost all of western europe is deforested, the british islands used to have temperate rainforest. France and Germany replaced the native deciduous forests with Sitka spruce and douglas fir, which are not native to the region.

  2. @user-wm1pi1ix2i Southern brazil is part of the pampas biome, which naturally doesn't have forests. This phenomenon was caused by both "el niño" and global warming, it's a taste what 2 °C could do to our planet. In reality, plankton is the one who produces the most oxygen, much more than forests, so our impact for oceans will hit us first.
