I got my Associate's Degree in Sociology, and I had to take a gender studies course. It was a trip. :D

Science is a method, and does not compete with religion. He said it best in the video. There are tons of things in life that we can't understand with science, and plenty of logical things that are false. In my sociology courses, my professor said that in every society that's been studied, there have been some kind of religious institutions. And that's because there are always unanswered questions. As science advances, we find more and new unanswered questions in addition to the old questions that weren't answered.

2020 did a number on my mental health, although I've always been struggling. This channel was a real bright spot for me in gaining context and keeping stable.

@CountSwagula666 Considering that the West conquered the world, and the rest of the world is catching up as they adopt western practices, I'd say the Western Perspective is the Empirical one, which he mentions himself.

@meneither3834 Depends on the person. And it still doesn't make you happy. One must discover what they value, and live according to that, but that comes from introspection.

It still doesn't tell you that. Just because there is a healthy diet, doesn't mean I want to eat that for lunch. And just because someone tells me something, doesn't mean it will appeal to me.

Maybe you need condescending to. :D

Morals may be subjective but they still exist. You would have to create or acknowledge what the morals were. And society is all of us, so to say that society constructs morals is the obvious truism that people cooperatively construct their moral value system.

Your channel has been one of the best things for me in 2020. I was so anxious and stressed out, but your videos help me to have perspective and calm down. Life is not fair, but our lives have meaning. I think that's a good trade. :D

:D I like philosophy, but not post modern philosophy.

How about, Life needs meaning. Either get it from somewhere, or come up with your own. But as long as you embrace it, it doesn't matter which.
