  1. August 31. That new grocery store in North Philly has announced it is terminating service and closing. Blaming it on the cost of some 31 days of uninterrupted shoplifting and 17 armed robberies during that same period. Store management expresses regrets for any inconvenience to shoppers.

  4. Granted most of the customers are drawing hefty welfare checks based on family size, plus food stamps and other give-aways, but the increased cost of drugs forces some folks to shoplift to feed the family.

  9. The knowledge any store in certain areas is a target for shoplifting, robberies and crime is the reason chain stores won't invest in opening stores. That lack of profits is the direct cause of local crime! Time to stop the liberal lying and tell that unpalatable truth for a change.
