  1. ONLY if the people really want to end the high crime rate. No, the death penalty won't be a deterrent. But it sure keeps vicious criminals from doing further crimes.

  2. It's not the guns, that are the problem. It's those impulse-driven people who act first, shooting and killing, then think about it years later. I've owned guns all my life. Have NEVER shot at anyone or used a gun to do a crime. But blaming guns is the approved way of deflecting thinking about the people most likely to do violent crimes.
