  1.  @GNOBNX  Maybe you need to explain your "decades of neglect". The shootings, stabbings and car thefts were not uncommon even when I was a kid growing up in Philly. You sound like a typical excuse-maker rather than trying to call attention to a problem. How many TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS have been spent (wasted) on various youth programs? Not only in Philadelphia but in all major cities and towns. Or for that matter, how many young kids are FORCED to try drugs and get hooked?

  6. Truth is that there ARE racial differences. Proof is that if there were no racial differences all racial groups would have progressed at the same rate. Differences being merely a matter of decades rather than some groups advancing by hundreds or even thousands of years - compared to lower groups.

  22. What in hell do those kids expect? To be handed a $100,000 a year job when they have almost no education, much less applicable job skills. Us Whites had to go to school and actually LEARN! And we had to start at the bottom working our way up the ladder, so to speak. Civil rights laws were enacted in 1965 - some 57 years ago according to my mathematical skills. And please don't feed me baloney it takes time to turn reality around and to have black kids understand they have the same rights and responsibilities as anyone else if they want to land a good paying job as adults. I am sick and tired of all those phony excuses to explain the mentality of society's failures.

  23. It was no different many decades ago when I was a kid. Only real difference back then was fewer guns because guns, like drugs, can be bought in the ghetto if you have the cash.

  25. And the reason the have-nots have nothing is usually their OWN FAULT! As I've pointed out above, a business regardless of size, needs to make money! If a person has no discernible education, no work skills - why would a manager hire such a person in the first place? None of our readers have the guts to admit and understand this logic. Blaming the lack of jobs on racism and the like rather than on the people responsible for their own plight.

The bloodthirsty carnage of tribal wars. The mentality hardly different in America where impulsive behavior including mindless violence is the norm.

  28. No hope for young black men who can barely write their names. Have no real education and are thus considered 'UNEMPLOYABLE" in the business world. While a personable black male with a high school education and fair grades can and will get a job. That everyone has to start at the bottom after graduating is normal - if his or her father does not own the business.

  30. It's the money involved. For selling the drugs that get kids hooked early and into a life of crime. That Border Wall would have been a good start in slowing down the shipments of drugs. Why do the Mexican cartels constantly fight each other, if not for the substantial billions of dollars at stake in drug sales.

  33. Like I've pointed out more than once. The problem is genetic. The modern Afro-Americans only marginally different from African ancestors of not that many centuries ago. But liberals will start their hysterical screaming about Nazi thinking while shutting eyes, ears, noses and mouths to what we see and hear of on a daily basis.

  34. Here go, again! The excuse manufacturing by liberals shifted into high gear! If they have no hope, they need to look into the mirror. Doing drugs, sleeping in school is why they won't get decent paying jobs as adults! But Philadelphia's liberals will never admit that about their beloved pets.
