Or you can spend 400 grand and have one made for you. I like what he's doing. It great on what he's got done for less then a grand. If you've done better good for you. Send us photos I wanna see. Kyle's great. And not lazy. I wish him well and would like to meet him. A great way of life and he's rocking it .

  19. I just got done eating a bear loin. Just one side of it. It's way better then deer. It's a lottery about once every 4 years for me. Unless your lucky my big bear went 458 lbs and 7.5 from nose to tail. He was on my land all summer and 2 miles away come season. He got shot by someone else. Mine was 200 lbs way better eating thou. It was great. 4 meals off oneside..make a good bait and bear will show up. Take off all the fat asap. You have about 3.5 hours after the shot in warm temps

  23. Build with 2x6 walls. If you build on skids or piers use 2 inch certafoam to insulation around your cabin. Then bank it with snow. Floors will be warmer. Use bobble foil under your floor. Put l.p. gas and wood heat. I did mine and it all works well and is warm

  25. Its nice but very spendy. My 100 dollar window unit works for me. If its to home I'll stay home at note it gets down to 45/55 that's cool enough for me. During the 90 degree day I jump in the lake and sit in the shade.up north we really don't need air. Open windows at night and shut them by 6 am house stays very cool that way for me

  27. When i did my shitter. I had to buy a permit. And theres rules. I needed a new plastic 55 gal barrel open top and no holes in the rest of it. And yes a man came to inspect it b4 i could use it and they check it out good for holes. Check with your county rules or theyll make you take it out. They are funny about shitters and why i dont know. But check the rules out

  31. I tryed a sand point at my cabin all over. Get down 5.5 feet and its solid rock. Which is OK also. Well driller said its cheaper to drill rock then sand and boulders. About 3500 for up to 80 feet hope we hit it in 30 or less for a good hand pump well is what I'm after

  33. You should of looked at my wheeler it's a 2007 650 2 up 4x4 low miles new tires. Never been beat on or driven in a swamp or high water. Trail rides and dragging deer only. You both could ride in comfort.

  34. Be careful on your tree dropping. I knew a logger young and took chances. He sits in a wheel chair now and that happend 30 years ago. Life is great but dont take bad chances. Or youll lose it all. You may want to replace your rusted stove pipe b4 winter. If it rusts out it will burn you down.

  38. When I built my home. The power company wanted 5 grand to run a few polls to give me power. I said nope. You run it to me for free and I'll buy your power. Or I'll go all solar. And they put it in for free. So I had power for 12 years B4 I sold out and moved to babbitt now. I'm off the farm. Critters are fun and good eats

  45. I'm in babbitt mn and got snow and froze ground. Kyle must be in the sunshine spot close to us. Lol 4 more wet inches of snow sat Sunday with some rain. If you get to babbitt look me up. Nice to visit with like mined people. In town but got a cabin out in the woods also

  48. Check in ely for a small l.p.gas freezer. You may want to learn how to can your meat. It's ez and the best way for eating meat and having meat. Skip the sheep. Get good meat goats.4 of them. Way better eating then deer. If you don't want them all. I'd buy 1or2 from ya in Nov or late fall.
