  1. That's a dewar. Holds refrigerated gas. Probably just venting due to being shaken, and pressure building, like when you shake 30lb R12 bottles to get the rest of the refrigerant out. No need to worry, except about asphyxiation.

  4.  @etherealrose2139  using R12 as an example. You can raise the pressure inside the bottle by moving the liquid onto the warmer surfaces and turning it into a gas.
