  4. I love it and would be all for it but I think we need Sanders in 2020 and boils down to this... I don't trust the public. Turner is relatively unknown and inexperienced. The corporate media would be very effective in smearing her the same way they smeared Sanders last go round (the DNC as well of course). Sanders has name recognition now. Sanders is the most popular politician in the country. If Turner wins I would love it and think Sanders should consider her for VP (should he run) but I consider her plan C (Tulsi is plan B).

Obama ran on it but because he didn't bring it they tried a person who wasn't a politician previously. Regarding, "The American people are now more distrusting of the media than we have been in a very long time." I agree but still you need to be wary of the corporate media... they still hold great power. And the same can be said of the DNC. Regarding, "Nian Turner has a much more assertive personality than Sanders." Agreed. I think she would have handle Bernies situation in the last election very differently. That said I'm not sure it is a political asset. You know they will try to smear her as an angry black women no matter how unjustified it is. Regarding, "But America is ready for our first woman president," Of course they are. That said I don't think Turner being a women is an asset. The fact that she is brilliant is an asset. Regarding, "I truly believes that she captures the spirit of this rising America." She very well might the same way Bernie did and if it happens I would be happy to support her. I just worry about her being an unknown hurting her the same way it hurt Sanders last go round. Regarding, "I think she would be a fantastic leader of the United States." Absolutely. I can't agree more with this.

  6. dpeace regarding, "Russ Feingold" I understand why Trump won Wisconsin. I was shocked, appalled, and pissed Feingold didn't get his senate seat back.

  7. I like to think Feingold would have won had Sanders been the nominee. Sadly we will never know. Hopefully Feingold gets a position of power sometime in the future. There are very few politicians I trust and actually root for so I was very sad to see him lose... especially to such a complete douche like Johnson.
