  12. Population size isn't what matters because a large population also means more people to pay for it. What matters is how much it costs per person. Canada pays about half as much per person for health care compared to the US. We can't afford not to do it.

The truth of the matter is that the for profit private health care system would happily let your foot fall off if they can figure a way to not pay for it so they can make an extra buck. They are not in the business to provide care. They are in the business to make money. And they will cut as many corners as they can if it means their CEO can buy a bigger yacht.

  17. You say this like we don't already pay for it in other ways. And those other ways cost us about twice as much as countries with universal health care. So yeah.... it doesn't really count because ultimately we save money.

  18. I love Gabbard but let's focus on getting him the nomination and trust he will pick a great running mate (because he will). The "democratic" primary will be anything other then democratic and a bloodbath. That needs to be the focus.
