  2. Mind of the North Star while I agree that the people should have done more you have to understand that the average joe is busy just trying to stay afloat and pay their bills. They were also being mislead by the corporate media who, when they bothered to talk about him, were smearing him. And then there is the fact that so many states have closed primaries where, even if they wanted to vote for him, often couldn't because the system is rigged from top to bottom. The DNC rigged the primary... not your average joe.

  5. Sanders has been in politics for a long, long time. Yes there are some votes that he has made over that very long time that can be considered questionable but, on the whole his record is exceptional, especially when compared to others. He voted against the war in Iraq and argued about it impassionedly. After that vote was made and he lost he voted to fund the troops which is often portrayed as voted for the war. It wasn't. They were already going to war and seeing how there was nothing he could do about that fact at that point he wanted to make sure that US troops going to war would have what they needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_om-x323Em0&t=20s Keep in mind that he said these things in the immediate wake of 9-11.

  6. Gerthax I'm a peace loving hippy who is exhausted by war and desperately wants to reign in the military industrial complex. While I agree that Sanders record has some flaws, especially (well, only really) when it comes to foreign policy but still I think you can be confident that he could be trusted as commander in chief especially when compared to what will be the alternatives. Rand Paul would be the ideal when it comes to foreign policy but his domestic economic policy is atrocious and a deal breaker. Sanders isn't perfect but he is as good as it gets when it comes to presidential hopefuls. And sorry for being rude originally. There are lots of trolls and idiots working overtime to disingenuously smear Sanders and it gets tiresome.
