  1. Top regarding, "There's no real need to label them," That's not your call. People want to know what they are eating and they have a right to that information. Regarding, "as they have no effect on health." That is what they said about lead until it was proven that it did have an effect on health. Regarding, "GMOs have been singled out because they sound scary to uninformed people." Logical minds understand, when told what GMOs are, that it is very conceivable that they might have adverse health affects. Regarding, "Without them, I don't think we'd be able to meet society's growing needs." Fine. JUST PUT IT ON THE LABEL. That really isn't too much to ask that people be allowed to be informed as to what they put in their bodies.
