  8. slippy regarding, "it concerns me that they are looking for a reason." I fear they will be able to make up a reason. I also fear another false flag event like the failed DAPL security guard. Regarding, "I just don't know what else the Native/protestors can do about it." Not much. I agree with their strategy and admire their resolve. If I were there I would have a very difficult time not resorting to violence. I also fear a protestor losing their cool and giving the police the excuse they are looking for. I don't believe in God but I pray they stay safe just in case.

I think the cops are just looking for an excuse to escalate the situation and that they would not hesitate to open fire if they feel they have an excuse to. I think the DAPL security guard that came out with a gun was an effort to give the cops an excuse to do just that and I wouldn't put it past some of the police to have known about him and what he was doing as he was doing it. Again, that white guy with a gun got off without charges because there are different rules for different people. Regarding, "I don't believe the protectors would fire unless fired upon." I would trust the protectors with guns more than I trust the police with them but as soon as the cops see anyone with a gun things would get out of hand quicker than is already happening.

As long as they think they can spin their actions and present a case that it was justified (even if their case is terrible) I think they would. They don't care about publicity. They care about finishing the pipeline at essentially any cost. Look at the actions the police have already taken. They are thugs. They enjoy what they do. They would happily take it to the next level if given a reason and that reason doesn't need to be very good. Regarding, "I am also of the type that would be willing to die before killing" While protesting peacefully the water protectors maintain the moral high ground. As soon as they lose that they would be wiped out and the corporate media would run BS story after story about how an officer feared for his life. They already do this. They already wrongfully say they are violent. Fortunately there are few actual journalists like Jordan who are giving the truth and not just regurgitating BS from the police and DAPL.
