  1. I think people confuse democracy and capitalism. Capitalism means the means of production are in the hands of private entities, there is nothing that democracy has to do with this, if somebody wants to make a pink flamingo out of plastic barbie dolls they can, there is no democratic vote on whether it's questionable or a waste of resources. I would say the significant challenge with capitalism is how to limit these choices by the public, in a free market.

" Every single bit of money in the economy is there because of debt, that's the only way it gets there, either govt or private debt, demand for money to pay taxes is just part of the cycle. Income taxes in USA could be reduced by a third if there wasn't interest on this money that the govt borrows.
