  1. Japan has deflation because it is an elderly society, it has 126 million or so and it will be 50 million less by 2100. Could you explain how money being printed has a different value depending on what it spent on? Are you saying printing more money to buy ice creams does create inflation but not if you buy a bicycle?

  2. Money is a product, a recession is the return on the money lent out at lower interest rates and recovered at higher ones, by design. It costs the central banks cents to produce a hundred dollars we pay back with real time and money earned. Interest rates do not need to be double digit to reduce consumption, they shouldn't have gone negative to promote it and there is a good argument that we don't need interest rates at all, or central banks that choose them, but a fair distribution of what the world can supply based not on dollars at all but just an equitable distribution, asking for boom and busts like this, to keep prices low, isn't something we should hope or ask for imo, we should be asking for different things from our monetary system.
