This is NZ diesel hybrids, a total of 218 exist, not sure the video is worth the effort but less user charges say fuel tax in Australia has been an issue. In NZ they pay 5c a klm on diesel.

@cccmmm1234 Ah, gone up then, it's been a number of years. I see it's for all vehicles now is that correct? NZTA has Up to 3500kg $76 per 1000k for Powered vehicles with 2 axles so that means all cars now are paying the same?

@jos_t_band3912 WHy though? ALL govts have a fuel tax, lower prices will mean higher consumption, not the goal on a warming planet.

@petercroft9895 When you say road tax, that's a bit of a furphy isn't it? 1.05 in total "levies" and a bit more in auckland just because it's not called a road tax does that mean it's not one? Petrol is the same total levies, so not sure where your road tax portion is in coming from, but I'm just going off online. Yes, apparently May this year it will be 7.2 cents per klm for all two axle vehicles under 3500kg. The thing we have to appreciate is taxes don't pay for anything, they are just a siphon from the amount of money in the economy.

@jos_t_band3912 Taxes don't pay for anything they are a siphon from the new money coming in otherwise the dollar value changes. It could be the road tax is something that is paid towards the harder to get oil and eventually the road tax will be called a exploration tax but if people won't stop driving willingly, why wouldn't higher and higher costs be a great plan for those that control the world? It lowers consumption, extends the life of the planet and the rich don't get eaten, as it's not a rush towards 5c by the end of the century. If the future of oil looks precarious at best in the next couple of decades, getting nz'rs poor but happy is a goal that works.
