Will people stop taking money? It's banker debt we worked for instead of doing things better.

Yeah, 180 ton and 20,000 gallons of jet fuel is designed to just bounce off.

@apieceOfeight I thought it strange they went by weight instead of value, maybe they were the same but isn't that the point of this that things are done more with barter? The point I'm trying to make is even if all the dollars come back to America, it can only be done by buying American goods.

If all dollars are debt, why would the US need to back it for? It's printed at such a low cost it could lose 99% of its value and the issuer would still break even, considering everything else is connected and US dollars are 51% of all currency and they will still exist even if exchanged for something else, I don't agree as much on a collapse. If Russia wants to receive 15 thousand ton of lentils from Pakistan in exchange for 15 thousand ton of potatoes there doesn't need to be a lot of gold behind it. Housewives in India are the largest private group holding gold, would the Bric's or a gold standard make them the richest group and would this be allowed..?

@apieceOfeight 60% of foreign reserves are US dollars, these people still have them, they can use their own and do but I'm talking about the ones they hold. If they all stop using them but they still exist then the only way to get rid of them is with somebody who will trade them for goods, so a friend of the US and increased trade through them, not Brics.

@apieceOfeight Why not base everything off the carbon value it takes to produce it? Why not get paid in carbon credits instead?
1
@bapi6643 Yes I understand that trade is but it's not must, it is by choice, it is a reserve currency that each country uses, they already have them, the question I am bringing up is where will the dollars go, each country can only get rid of them by buying something from a country that will take them, boosting trade outside of brics.
1
@bapi6643 PS Let's say brics set up a new currency and it get's exchanged dollar for dollar for US dollars, Brics sells these plummeting the ,market now the Brics coin is over valued for the people who changed first, what do you do? 60% of foreign reserves are the US dollar, I doubt these countries will stop buying from non brics countries so they might still want to hold some so let's say down to 30%, all the non brics get that money into their system and let's say all the US dollars make it back to the US, they could lower spending and reduce the national debt. Plummeting would be bad for Brics imo.

@bapi6643 Need or want to, I don't think anybody's pocket will be big enough.

@apieceOfeight Why would something be based on weight in your mind because gold it ain't, 15,000 ton of watermelons or 15000 ton of gold is going to be a little different, now put that to two different crops that have different methods, a crop of lychee's might be different to a crop of pea's, considering one is dry lentils and the other was for raw potatoes and weight of one because they are filled with water would be much more, as I say I found it strange but there we are that's what they did.
1
@apieceOfeight In the new world we don't need a store of value, we need to know how much carbon we can emit for different scenarios. A carbon value of goods won't change, the carbon value of producing food, shelter and medical care. Money as a freehold ticket to emits as much as one wants has to stop.
1
@apieceOfeight How will they be returned, boxed and just given or used to purchase something? If the US has more trade it can pay off its debt.
1
And will do what with the dollars they hold, burn them so they don't exist or buy something so somebody else holds them? Do you think those 159 countries will stop receiving dollars?
