  1. As all money is based on debt, pensions are a debt instrument and a way for govt to input money into society, be hard to imagine them getting rid of it.

  2. The main reason the economy has to grow is businesses that everybody's retirement funds are invested in need to show growth, the whole stock market depends on growth otherwise it isn't needed.

  3. but the Uk uses more energy for heating than it does electricity, how will the profits stay up and how will growth continue with rising prices?
