I had a quick look online for phones in AU and that led me to the reason they are banned is the 5g towers and huawei or the chines govt being able to turn off access to a water pump etc etc was an unacceptable risk.

@danielli9167 Did you know the amount of salt you need to get 1500mg of sodium is 2/3rds of a teaspoon of salt. I find I don't pee overnight anymore. This one surprised me, iodine in salt raise's IQ, it costs $1.36 per tonne of salt and 2 billion people don't have access to it.

And considering all national debt is considered money, how do people think China gets that surplus? If we use coal emissions, China is number one, because of this money.
6
@kwlee8420 ALL money is govt debt, it doesn't exist without it. If the govt is in deficit then it is in peoples accounts, if they are in surplus then they have taken it out. If all the debt was paid back there would be zero money
6
@YSKWatch Can "I" prove what the media tells me through the intelligence agencies in all five eyes countries? No I am just the messenger.
6
Or seventy five percent of 1/4 of the population have seen the lower quality chines gear come through all industries and are scared to outlay that sort of money later in life. Not everything has to be race based.
4
Third in the world per capita car ownership, maybe they have enough.
4
@Feibie Depends on your age and when you started, 86% of children in high school suffer myopia, they say from screens as a young age and not going outside, maybe you missed screens at an early age.
3
Same happened to Japanese edit : Actually you could say, as a result of the Marshall plan
3
Which is why short sightedness is also the highest level in china, the percentage of children wearing glasses the result.
2
@Gman979 So you thought you would say it twice..
2
@Gman979 If only you had listened to your own advice. edit Do you know how money is created?
2
@pohmoh3590 This is only because of how much govt debt there is. The total amount is more because there is more, the US dollar is 51 percent of all dollars in the world. You are talking about 3.82 percent of it being in USA, they are 4% of the world.
2
@chocomilo1628 Half of the China surplus comes from USA, of which I am not a part.
2
@gelinrefira Africa will be almost half the world population by 2100, the transference will continue.
2
Au and NZ are 3rd and number one in per capita car ownership in the world. when you say doing well, it's easy to say double digit growth when they might only sell a couple of hundred cars into a saturated market. Looking forward Au looks as though it is going to leave the Paris agreement, as the govt gets a cut of around a third per litre from fuel.
2
@yaoliang1580 And considering they are saturated even less.
2
Australia per capita car ownership is more than any European country, is third in the world beaten only by NZ and then USA, maybe under the new idea of lowering fossil fuel use, it's wrong.
2
@MarineScoutSniper There's a thing called production emissions, the idea is to change from an average person born in the fifties who averages 350 tonne of carbon over their lifetime, the new idea is to have baby born in 2020 to emit 34 tonne over their lifetime means production emissions have to come down, a lot. These three countries per capita emitting 1200 over their lifetime, maybe the import policy has been wrong. Even if production had stayed within the country and there was a supply bottleneck, that would be enough to lower overall emissions and there would be trades and services still in Au.
2
@bldomain I still have no clue what you are on about, I tried to buy one, can't, oh well life goes on.
2
@bldomain Only one of us brought this amount of hate into it.
2
@MsBay129 Didn't you hear? There's been a new message out I think the last two hundred years, DON"T shoot the messenger is the new message, I think before that it was just K..unalive the messenger ;)
2
Did that money entering the US economy help the US? Debt is money, higher levels entering the market that everything else is keyed too making chinese goods able to increase in price and pay rises within US is a bad thing? It's fools like us that equate dollars as being of value when all it is, is debt..
2
@brianliew5901 No. it has only risen with the rise of screens. stop being silly.
1
@Luming-di9rf Why deflect reality? I am telling you a fact because of a reason, that you haven't covered. Increased staring at hand held screens.
1
@brianliew5901 Chinese characters have been around a lot longer than the rise in screen use and the rise in myopia, which is also happening in the west, maybe all the children in the west are studying chinese..Why deflect reality and not accept truth instead of making up new idea's?
1
@Luming-di9rf You have no idea of how good I am at anything, I am merely reacting to over the top china can never be wrong rhetoric that a lot of people who comment here seem to have a blind spot over and promote. People like me like facts over feelings, no matter where they are from.
1
@Luming-di9rf Oh you are silly. All I talk about is facts and reality of one subject can't be talked about without you comparing one country to another country. You talk of whining when none has existed, the only complaints have been in your own mind and I didn't bring mindless one eyed propaganda into the conversation, you did, maybe you should have a look at how that is perceived. PS Stop comparing yourself to Americans.

@rogerzen8696 The money in your account or theirs is not there, it is lent out again as soon as it can. ALL money is govt debt, accumulating more of it when people are against the govt goes against the grain. The root of problems, is not understanding money while wanting more of it. Nevertheless, all this debt is seen by people as a ticket to energy that isn't going to be there in a couple of decades, this is our most pressing problem, asking for more money is not going to change that.
1
@rogerzen8696 I can't see my comment, will try another way. The money that is in all our accounts doesn't exist, it is just an accounting trick, as soon as it reaches your account it is lent out as soon as possible. Same as them, you wanting more govt debt in your account doesn't really make you rich. not in a true sense.
1
@mt8474 Saying that a per capita basis isn't that bad, when there is so many of them, sort of confirms the purpose of what I was saying. Yes we have and along with that the jobs, China is supposed to lose half a billion people over the next 80 years, if they keep the production because the world has basically stopped growing their per capita emissions are going to double without any change in their activities. It still is a huge amount of carbon whoever emits it.
1
@mt8474 No one has fixed their problems, it's been transferred along with the money that has meant China has been able to prosper. Half the surplus come's from USA, this is manufactured at a small cost, 40k per million.
1
@一个说话大声的中国人 You could make the same argument about religious beliefs at the time that man has dominion etc. You put abortion in the same category as having sex with a man?
1
monipenny408 All countries have their own printing presses and we all revolve our lives around these toilet papers
1
Who is "they" C or USA?
1
@astroganov They mine more than their population percentage, how much should they be mining considering there are enough copper reserves for around 35 more years? Why not have mines in Africa like China does so that money can flow into those countries?
1
@astroganov That is all money in existence is one govts or another's debt.

Getting 60 percent electricity from hydro and another 15 percent from nuclear would mean no cleaner electricity would be available, a lot better than an ice car in its place with about 640 kilowatts of energy in each tank of diesel. A 100 kilowatt battery is going to need less energy overall even if plugged in, JUST, to keep it warm, don't worry about plugging it in to charge that warms it, putting a bar heater beside it and the energy coming from hydro would still be better than a fossil fuel replacement.
1
@DailyBeatings Which is such a stupid argument when there 1.4 billion of them versus 38 million
1
@DailyBeatings No you don't, overall emissions are the important measure, saying three people emit 500 tons per day while a thousand emit 300, does not in any way make the thousand better or not to be looked at, overall.
1
@DailyBeatings If total carbon means nothing, please... tell the world that they have nothing to worry about because the amount is greater coming from one country than another. You could get rid of Canada's emissions and it wouldn't change much overall, China's emissions on the other hand..The fact you have gone through school and can't see the logic of that might be a result of the lack of critical thinking taught.
1
@DW-op7ly No green energy is effective at reducing overall emissions, they are an addition to the coal and it still gets used. You are talking about a future that you don't know of, just imagining. China is due to lose half its pop by 2100, effectively doubling their per capita in that time.
1
@DW-op7ly Today their emissions have increased from a decade ago and with ch due to lose 50% of their popualtion over the next 80 years their per capita is going to double if all things remain the same.
1
@DailyBeatings Yes, basic math of totals and with ch due to lose fifty percent of the population over the next 80 years will mean their per capita is going to double if they keep the same amount of production.
1
@DW-op7ly PS In 2014 was declared the war on pollution, in that time all green energy has not decreased overall emissions.
1
@DW-op7ly If it has doubled in 50 years, plateaued now sinking, declines 50 percent in 80 years, will the decline be as attractive as the rise?
1
@DW-op7ly Plantation forests or new planting account for 3% of worldwide forest. China being responsible for 0.75% doesn't impress me even if it sounds high. Considering the deforestation within china is 0.20% plus for china it's a great statistic but overall meaningless.
1
@DW-op7ly You communicate like a robot.
1
@DW-op7ly What indignation do you think is happening when somebody states facts? I merely ask the question of how china will be with the same problem that is happening elsewhere, a halving of the population and stating the fact that if emissions stay the same then per capita will double. China has supplied the west, and africa may not be able to consume as much so the toxic waste will become less, but please point me to where once I have given you any snow report?
1
I wonder how long the open door policy will stand, now with privacy concerns regarding phones and 5G towers. Cars today have been found to have the worst privacy issues. Data is being sold around about how fast you drive, who is driving, can tell when you have an affair, listens to all the conversations. If govt officials or people in power are having phone conversations etc I wonder if they will also be banned.
