  1. The server who delivers the food has the easiest job. Tipping a person because they might look good is wrong as a system. Tip your dishwasher for a change.

Problem is it's not about paying your employees, it's about competing against somebody who is paying minimum wage and you trying to stay in business, the bar is set low in USA but so are the costs. Where I am minimum wage is around 21$ an hour but for a small population we have the most expensive housing and costs, but we also have health care. Tipping is absolutely wrong though imo, it should be banned as a system because it doesn't cover all people involved in the product being delivered, the costs should be on the employer, not the public but change the system and the poorest people will suffer the most. Added: Ban or stop tipping and see how long it will take before minimum wage increases, so are "we" part of the problem for supporting an unfair system?

  6.  @jamesolson7179  If all minimum wage is raised at the same time then the little guy's all suffer the same. Why shouldn't minimum wage people be allowed to exist without being told they always need to get a higher paying job?

  8.  @DreamingOfABetterDay  You seem to be missing the point of the video. Tipping means a lower wage can be paid. If you stop tipping then people couldn't afford to work there, so if you stop tipping higher minimum wage would have to be applied, yes? I live in a country where tipping isn't applied or common and the standard of living is higher, so again, I say by you tipping you are part of the problem.

  9.  @DreamingOfABetterDay  You keep saying you could go on and on about something but you say nothing. Get a high minimum wage and then tip, go for it but don't say giving should be the basis for somebody to earn a wage because it leaves out so many people who are working on the same job.

  10. You choosing to have children in what some would say is an overpopulated planet also shouldn't be paid for by someone else. You asking for more, that will accommodate your choices, while people starve to death is an interesting take just because someone brings food to a table.

  11.  @jamesolson7179  Doesn't matter how much money you get there will always be somebody getting paid more. I could pay you two thousand an hour and eventually you'd start complaining. Especially if I had the power to change everybody's minimum wage to the same two thousand. But that wasn't the question, the question is why can't a minimum wage person be allowed to live a full life without being told they need a higher paying job, Why can't people be allowed to live just because they aren't a "go getter", why can't they just do their 8 hours at a job and go home?

  12.  @jamesolson7179  Two different things, a full life and living within their means. Why shouldn't people have shelter, transport and be able to reproduce? You know there will always be people who didn't go to University right? You realise families can have generations of labourer's right? You know people work forty to sixty hours a week, ON MINIMUM WAGE, right? You know after they get tired, they don't have spare reserves of energy, they are working just like the rest of us, I mean come...how about this, you promise that you'll never run for office. Then, the other view is give everybody a thousand an hour and see how much prices rise, minimum wage as a "living wage" really depends on how one lives, everybody that has gone through it has survived but that doesn't mean it isn't brutal because it was mostly affecting younger people, which was fine because it was a different demographic but now with an older demographic with a higher median age it's shifted and really unfair to say if a worker doing much needed work can't have shelter, personal transport or a family, oh look we circled around to your megalomaniac view against everybody else " " lower " " than you..

  13.  @DreamingOfABetterDay  If i didn't know better this would be a reply the restaurant industry would offer. You are saying people should be paid on your subjective opinion and how you feel on the day. My point is you tipping stops people making a good wage, comparatively to now.

I am trying to explain that tipping could be the problem, because it stops a higher minimum wage being implemented, I mean doesn't it? And now you say I am part of the elitist propaganda machine?
