  1. 636 kilowatts in a tank of diesel, around 4 months of my electrical energy. We don't pay the external costs of the fuels we use, we completely ignore them and this might not be the case in the future. A cord of wood has around 2.5 years of my electrical use at 8kwh a day, if you do have a home that is owned they can be much cheaper energy wise than rv living but I get it, I've done van living before. As far as the video is concerned, We live in a belief system, we have to be able to believe in something other than work slavery where we think we are free because we can choose the colour of our car. Our weekends only exist because of our jobs, our holidays, what we believe is correct and incorrect, what is worthy for our time debt to be spent on, profit instead of value.

  2. You are going to have an off grid home, burning wood or do you think you'll afford batteries for all heat and cooling? The issue with off grid, is they are usually far away from cities, using diesel again for all supplies. I don't drive and live in a city and can walk to the shops, a huge reduction in energy can be achieved living in the city and if you are going to drive more miles overall. As I say if you burn wood, you are going to emit far more energy than myself in air conditioning using coal as the power source.  @indigowendigo8464
