@r_rumenov Just rotate politicians and parties every 4-8 years. That's what we do in Czechia/Slovakia. All politicians eventually seek absolute power and people must show them the door in election before it's too late. Don't trust them when they say they want the best for you. They are always self serving. Do not look for a perfect politician. They don't exist anywhere in the world. Hungarians don't understand this concept at all.

We want every country in the world to be democratic. We won't stop until it happens.

Not true for Czechia. People from other countries are coming here too, both EU an non EU. Unemployment is very low. Being EU members is positive for eastern members as it creates more competition for workforce. They have to reform and resolve their problems if they want to have any pensions. No more is the old generation able to force backward ideas onto the new one. They can either adapt to us or we wish them good luck finding someone to pay their pensions. We need to be tough with them.

@いちごくん-l6d There is absolutely nothing the communist generation can teach the next one politically as everything they have been doing was wrong. Worse, they still intend to drag our countries down with them due to being clueless in politics. If they manage to do that then it will be a goodbye.

Czechs and Slovaks face same problems as Hungarians yet see no reason to elect a wannabe dictator.

Looks bad for Serbia's EU membership from what you say.

People are to blame, not oligarchs.

The whole world knows the UK was hoarding vaccines for itself. Fortunately for the EU, they proved to be less effective than Pfizer and the UK unlike the EU will need a booster shot or hell will break loose in winter.

I can say that in Eastern EU the problem is mostly the old communist generation that doesn't speak any languages. They are like prisoners who love to return back to prison. Luckily the young generation keeps them in check in most countries and they are dying out.

@chraman169 Nope, people from 3rd world countries want that too, that's why they are immigrating to EU and US.
1
@chraman169 They tell us themselves when they immigrate here.

@chraman169 Stable French republic required more than one attempt as well. Europe used to be full of authoritarian regimes in early 20th century. I live in Eastern EU. We only became democratic recently, but we still intend to spread the EU model of democracy further until every country in the world is democratic. For that purpose European countries united in the EU. It's not only an economic union.

@carlbrenner7078 Maybe if Hungary wasn't building dictatorship it would be better. I would certainly leave as I cannot stand people who vote for wannabe dictators. I would rather clean toilets in west than assist a dictatorship in any way.

@MovieRiotHD Keeping people imprisoned is not going to change Bulgaria. It was right to let them join the EU. The old generation must change if they want to see their grandchildren and stop ruining their country.

Fingers crossed for Turkey from EU!
