Of course because the city sold it to those companies. They created the problem in the first place and now it backfired on them.

And if young Czechs cannot persuade their parents not to vote for ANO then they deserve these prices!

It's stubborn people who are driving prices up and blaming it on home owners. Not everyone can live in an expensive city. They need to move to cheaper areas at some point. It makes no sense for people to concentrate in one huge city as it leads to problems that cannot be resolved - transportation, schools, healthcare - there just won't be enough for everyone. It's typical leftist mindset - instead of understanding the issue, blame it on the rich. On one hand call out racists, but employ the same strategy against the rich by inciting class hatred. We need to draw critical attention to the extremist methods used by the left to advance their agenda.

If Germany wants to go down the socialist path that's fine with us in Czechia. But we aren't interested.

It's horrifying so many Germans support government expropriating private property. They have been brainwashed by socialists for too long.

You're not supposed to live in city if you cannot afford buying an apartment there. Not everyone can afford to live in capital, there is no shame in this. There are many people who live in small towns and villages and have higher quality of life than city dwellers. In the past people used to build their own houses. Why not anymore? Socialist red tape... Wake up to the fact that socialism is a menace. Greetings from Czechia.

@EarthScienceEnjoyer My house in Prague, Czechia is now worth 600k, I bought it few years ago for 300k. You're not alone. Nobody would even dare to propose nationalizing properties here. It's socialist regulations that caused this problem in the 1st place and now you fell victim to their propaganda to implement socialist policies, with the end goal being socialism. Traditional social democrats are almost dead here, they may not even enter parliament in the next parliamentary election. How come Americans never needed government to build the country? Did government build their houses? It's organization that leads to prosperity, not government regulation.
