@peterjobovic3406 Some people want to live in a prosperous modern country, others in Russian world.

Not really, there will always be failures when adopting liberal democracy. Look at Balkans, it's completely messed up and remained outside of the EU and NATO. Is it better off? No.
4
The rest of us don't want to live in a backward, corrupt, Putin style despotism. We understand there are people like you who long exactly for that.
3
Those who want Slovakia to remain a backward country will vote for Smer for sure. Smer governments spanned 12 years and failed to uplift Slovakia economically. Some people see developed countries as a role model, others see role model in Russia, Iran, North Korea.
3
Is Mr. Orban and Putin your role model?
2
@kureciparatek2838 Mr Babis ran his presidential campaign on Kremlin propaganda. Not yet the same category as Orban and Fico, but heading there.
2
Consider UK. It isn't that difficult to get work visa. If you're young enough you may qualify for Australia or Canada, but you will need a very high IELTS score, above 7.5.
2
@FightingForceSoulless It's the obligation of citizens of democratic countries to promote liberal democracy in the world. This task will only be finished once the whole world is democratic and free. Get on with it.
2
No wonder Slovakia was a nazi ally together with Hungary in WW2. When a conflict breaks out in Europe, you can count on these two to be on the evil side.
2
@browiking318 It's usually those who don't understand what it means constantly keep voting for spineless, corrupt, lying and self-serving politicians who mismanage countries.

@frederikaz5085 Sounds like you lost competition on the job market and are butt hurt about it. International companies employ people from various countries and ethnicities. Makes no sense why they would discriminate you specifically. Competition on foreign job market is a lot stronger than what you're used to in Slovakia. Naive fresh graduates get disappointed when they find out there is no demand for their major on the job market. If that's your case then you need to reflect on your past decisions, blame nobody but yourself and make steps to improve your standing. You were unsuccessful, fell victim to Kremlin propaganda and intend to drag the whole country down with you. If you want to be successful you need to have role models who are successful, not unsuccessful. Same holds when it comes to economy and foreign policy. Many people are unsuccessful because they consistently make wrong decisions throughout their life.

@Hejhouyou Why do you want to be fed lies?
1
@thornelderfin Slovakia is culturally closer to Russian world - drive out the smart, beat up and rule the rest. The population isn't open enough to shed its past. Anyone waiting for a change is wasting their life.
1
@iAdam43 Some people side with the victim, while others with the evil aggressor. Current events explain why Slovakia is not a successful country and will not be in the next decades. It's a country based on wrong cultural values.
1
@FightingForceSoulless We don't want Russian world in our countries, that's the difference between us and you.
1
Nope, Czechia will follow suit, just 2 years later.
1
I have yet to see from your kin a call for Putin to pull out his troops out of Ukraine. Yet another closet Kremlin supporter.
1
It's not a coincidence when you drive the smart out.
1
Populist Slovak politicians are bringing Russian world to Czechia hehe
1
That's exactly Putin's plan. It was to be expected that some countries will struggle with transition to democracy. Look at Balkans. Is it better off? The EU and NATO expanded as much as it made sense. When the door between West and East was reopened it wasn't just the positives that came in. Cultural exchange happens both ways.
1
@thornelderfin No need to wait for election results. It is a waste of life to raise kids in Slovakia. Those of us who left 25 years ago can see it clearly. It will never prosper due to being too conservative and having too much pro-Russian sentiment.
1
@vh5663 Czechia isn't better off. They got a Slovak politician similar to Fico and a pro Kremlin party just like Slovaks. It's just coming 2 years later.
1
The problem is cultural in nature. Slovaks vote for parties that are in favor of generous social security at the expense of investments. Such country can never prosper and it is no surprise it is a failure.
1
@alexandros1395 Because it almost certainly was destroyed by Russians. Some people take the side of evil no matter how evident it is. That's why evil regimes such as North Korea exist. The rest of us don't want to live in Kremlin despotism and don't believe the lies they spew.
1
You're wasting your life if you believe in a change. Slovakia already had 30 years. It has a serious cultural problem which prevents it from prospering.
1
Exactly. If people elect a spineless populist then the Slovak culture has a major flaw before it can build a prosperous country.

@FightingForceSoulless Citizens of democratic countries have an obligation to promote liberal democracy in the world. They will never give up and the task will only be complete once the whole planet is democratic. There are opposing forces that sympathize with autocracy, rule of strength, subjugating the weak but to sell their evil narrative they need to lie constantly and use force. That's where the term "illiberal" democracy comes from, it's a lie to portray it as an alternative to liberal democracy when it isn't. It's the same old rotten system we have had before. Same lie as "people's" democracy. They have nothing to do with democracy. If a country chooses to go down the path of "illiberal" democracy then it no longer belongs into the club of liberal democracies that is the EU.
1
@FightingForceSoulless The EU affords many opportunities for skilled workers. If you don't prosper it means you're not competitive.
1
@FightingForceSoulless If you accept 35% of pay of someone in Germany doing the same job that's your own fault! If you accepted 10%, the employer would happily pay you that.
1
Those who are against the war will call on Putin to withdraw his army to Russia. His sympathizers come in two kinds - those who admit it openly and those who don't but every opinion they voice helps only Putin.
1
He learned from Lenin. Do everything it takes to get into power regardless of methods.
