  1. It's not just Orban. Watch how Poland is protecting its border from Lukashenko trying to flood them with immigrants. This way of thinking is normal in Eastern Europe. People who come legally are welcome.

  7. Czechia is the most liberal from V4 countries and probably most culturally compatible for anyone from west. It also has no interest in electing a dictator, unlike Hungary. It's probably the best country from V4 to live in, followed by Poland. Slovakia and Hungary come last.

  8. Religion is on the way out in Europe, probably the result of two world wars. It is highly unlikely this trend will reverse unless millions of religious Americans come over. I myself was christened, but I'm not practicing.

  9. In eastern EU we have both liberal left (western left) and conservative left (this doesn't exist in US or western EU). There are even communists who are conservative as well. We also have right wing and nationalists. Some are pro western, others pro Russian. We have better choice due to rich political landscape. Americans have much more limited choice.

  14.  @Jagdpanther93  Move to Czechia then. Very close to visit your relatives if you want to. I live in Prague and make €100k/pa. I'm not an exception. Not everyone is as poor as western Europeans believe. If you want good salary, your best option is going to be joining a large German company that has office in the country you want to move to and ask for a transfer.

  18. In Eastern EU liberal left is very weak. It also has to compete with "conservative left" that values traditional families, strict immigration control but is also left wing. This type of left wing parties doesn't exist in west.

  19. That is Russian ultimate plan - to have the EU collapse and have Russia and China take it over. EU and US need to cooperate closely and not fall for these cheap tricks.
