  1.  @invidusspectator3920  The problem is this region is of very little economic significance for the EU. Population is too small which means small markets, countries are too poor, too much corruption, too much nationalism. The EU needs a reform before it can admit new members as well, so both sides are not ready at the moment. Even if Balkan joins the EU it will be very difficult to catch up with V4 + Baltics. They sadly made wrong decisions after 1989.

  2. The EU needs to sort out problems with Hungary and Poland first before taking in more members. Internal reforms are needed to make punishment for breaking of EU treaties more effective.

  3. I think the best option for the young in Bosnia is to get education in demand and immigrate to the EU. If the old generation doesn't want to join the EU then the young will do it without them.

  4. I live in Central Europe and can say we are definitely not interested in what you're proposing. European countries need to work together.
