  2. Hungary's EU and NATO membership is at stake. If Orban isn't defeated now then he will rule Hungary until his death. Illiberal democracy is incompatible with EU values.

  4.  @collan580  The rest of Eastern EU countries are much better off in terms of development of democracy. My opinion is simply not every country will make the transition successfully and failures are to be expected along the way.
