  15.  @ahyoucanevenholdit  there was no russia in 1200. it was keivan rus that mongolia conquered. tsardom of russia appeared in 1500s. mongolia controlled crimea before russia was even a thing. russia occupied crimea in 1783 and the crimea including , it has never been theirs , the crimea has always belonged to ukraine or mongolia. khrushchev was rightfully giving the territory back to its original owner.
