  1. In the early 20th century there was literally a "Christian Progressive" movement that emphasized using government to force people to behave morally for their own good. It got secularized, made an unholy alliance with Marxism in the mid part of the 20th century and morphed into modern atheistic social justice. It's no coincidence that in America, the most SJW universities were once protestant seminaries.
