  1. I think the pope sees catholicism is losing popularity, he's trying to appeal to secular liberal types by watering down catholic doctrines. But if he's just gonna turn Catholicism into secular liberalism then what's the point of even having a catholic church? might as well just be a secular liberal and sleep in on sundays lol.
