  1.  @UrbCrafter  in addition to refined carbs we also eat way too much omega 6 fats. Our ancestors ate a ration of 1:1~1:4 omega 3:omega 6. Today with all the canola and soybean oil in everything it's like 1:50. Our bodies need some omega 6 but too much causes inflamation and metabolic issues which contributes to obesity and depression.
