I've been listening to Jay Dyer a lot recently, he constantly references a book "Fire in the Minds of Men: Origins of the Revolutionary Faith" which is about how leftist revolutionary movements from the Jacobins to the Bolsheviks were informed by weird occultist/gnostic/anti-christian/sometimes straight up satanist beliefs. But they all claimed they were "rational" and "scientific". The Jacobins went as far to as to make cult to the "goddess of reason". The Bolsheviks thought communism was the culmination of (Marx's bastardized version of Hegel's) world historical process where humanity moves ever upwards to higher planes of truth and reason... transcend.. become like God.. tl;dr when societies reject religion and tradition they end up putting "rationality" and "science" on a pedestal and worshipping it... which is profoundly irrational. Maybe that's what Spengler was getting at? A society that makes "rationality" it's highest ideal will get lost in it's own mind... lose sight of timeless truths and natural law.. be unable to deal with the reality that's right in front of it's face..

  4. Should pick America's side. Israel isn't such a great ally. America doesn't need to spend any more blood and treasure on Israel's interests. The problem is AIPAC, the Effrey Jepstein blackmail networks and the ridiculous Christian Zionist heresy have such a strong hold on America's politicians.
