Vlad Tepesblog I wouldn't say it's an evil plot but if Jews dominate a specific academic field it's possible that they might push an agenda to further jewish interests rather than objective truth. It's not just Jews through, I'd be worried if for example Canada had a "religious tolerance commission" made up entirely of Muslims. Or Mormons. They might be tempted to further their own groups interests over others. Although unequal representation alone isn't evidence of bias, we have to look at it on a case by case basis.

  49. Dave I don't think science could've grown out of Islam instead of Christianity due to theological differences. Allah is hyper-omnipotent and causes literally everything to happen. Medieval Islamic scholars concluded "Allah dun did it" was an acceptable answer to everything. Cause and effect were considered superfluous or even blasphemous. Allah is quite the micromanager. The Christian god on the other hand created a clockwork universe, gave us free will and intervenes only very occasionally. Theologically a Christian could justify studying the laws of the universe that God had set up "to better understand His glory" or some such nonsense whereas a Muslim doing the same would be considered an insult to Allah.
