  1. You didn't bring up the New Testament. When Jesus said "turn the other cheek", "love thine enemies", "love the sinner hate the sin", "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" it's pretty obvious that quotes like that could be the basis for a close-minded violent fascistic religious/political movement. Christians do bad stuff too! The Crusades! The Crusades!!
