@hyperpedro2868 The problem is the lack of a stabilized gun, so it needs to stop to shoot, which means it actually can’t move fast under fire.

This is a USELESS vehicle for Ukraine and is partly responsible for a failed counter-offensive. It isn’t designed for the war going on in Ukraine. It’s designed for counter-insurgency fighting where speed is key and a small caliber gun is sufficient. It won’t do in Ukraine. It’s too light for proper ERA and anti-drone kits, too small of a gun to take on other tanks and can’t traverse muddy fields full of craters in order to support IFVs or infantry. It’s why you don’t see footage of actual combat.

@ Who wouldn’t? Leopard 2s and Abrams shoot almost exclusively on the move. Stopping even for a couple of seconds makes a tank much more vulnerable. Also, the AMX-10 has light armor. 35mm on front of hull, 25mm on sides, and 42mm on turret. The frontal armor on a Leopard 2 and Abrams is 800-900mm thick. The thinnest section of an Abrams (rear) has 250mm of armor. The AMX-10 is more of an IFV than a tank.

@TheBayru Why don’t you just look it up? The internet is a plethora of info! While you’re at it, look up what the Challenger 2 and Leopard 2 have!

@ The hull isn’t the thickest armor. The front of turret is. Look that up. We’re talking 90cm on the Abrams, so exactly what I said: 800 to 900mm of armor.

@emjizone Anti-tank? With a 105mm gun? There isn’t a tank on that front line that this can penetrate from the front or the side and from the rear, it can only nail the oldest of the lot.
1
@ “Good” how? It’s accurate, yes, but its range is lower and it just isn’t effective against modern MBTs. It won’t penetrate. That’s not unique to the AMX though… the Leopard 1 is the same way. A 105mm gun isn’t going to do much again a modern tank. It’s a gun for the early Cold War era.

@ No, it DEFINITELY cannot, and has not. Not a single example of an AMX-10 even engaging a Russian tank, ever.
1
@ A 40mm can’t either. Don’t be stupid.
1
@ It happened literally once and they scored a mobility hit by destroying all sights and accidentally getting a hit on turret controls. None of their rounds ever penetrated the tank and it was actually destroyed by drones. No one with human IQ thinks a Bradley can actually destroy an MBT.
