For context, many Russian neo-Nazis fled to the Donbas region of Ukraine over the last 20 years to escape the Russian government and the Ukrainian government. They have used the war in Donbas as a shield to continue their operations because during the war, neither government could get to them. Now that Donbas is under Russia and not separatist, they’re finding themselves squeezed again and are fighting against Putin.
