  1. It’s not reasonable to tell an invader who is actively still invading to go home and pay for what they’ve done, including their leader to give himself up to a trial. It’s a bit like William Wallace in “Braveheart” riding out to egg on the generals on the field by saying their commander should ride out and kiss his arse.

  2. 1-4 are realistic. The rest will be laughed at by Russia. Then again, neither side actually wants to cede anything at this point. Ukraine is in a much stronger bargaining position than it was, but Russia still wields all power as the aggressor. This is all what I call, “political peacocking.” This is a wishlist. Negotiations/peace offers contain sacrifices you’re willing to make in kind.

  5.  @deepinthewoods8078  There are no negotiations when most of your demands are simple non-starters. Negotiators come to the table with two lists: what they want and what they’re willing to offer in return. Then you compare the lists and negotiate them. You DO NOT go in saying, “I want everything, period.” I have over a decade of union contract negotiations experience in New York.
