Can one fail at something that one doesn’t try? The UN unit currently deployed is from the Irish Army. For those who don’t know, Ireland may be the most antisemitic and anti-Israeli country on Earth, maybe even more so than any neighbor of Israel. The IDF went in there and told those idiots to turn off their lights because they were being targeted by Hezballah. The IDF saved their lives. UNIFIL isn’t supporting Hezballah directly. They’re just turning a blind eye because they have no training, equipment or motivation to keep peace. That’s not the actual role of the UN today and hasn’t been for many decades.
