  1. I don’t particularly like baseless demagoguery. Lets speak plainly: there is no evidence of any significant troop and equipment build-up in Western Russia or Belarus to launch any major offensive. Period. Russia is an East-to-West stretched nation (geographically). For them to compile sufficient forces they would need to bring them from all around the nation, and house them, temporarily, near the Ukrainian border in order to mobilize them into a cohesive fighting force. Those formations would be easily noticed by satellites, human and signals intel of NATO and Ukraine. In other words, if Russia was planning something large, we’d know.

  2.  @MrRugbylane  That used to be the case, but in the age of instant media and individual ability to record and transmit that, there’s little we don’t know, at least when it comes to large events. Plus it’s very much in NATO and Ukraine’s interest to make it known, across the world, immediately.

  4.  @niweshlekhak9646  So what does that mean? 300 thousand untrained, unequipped. poorly led targets? That’s horrible. It only bogs their logistics down. The soldiers currently on the front already don’t have anything. Bringing more of that makes it so much worse.

  7.  @cacwgm  We don’t know exactly who is on the front lines right now, who is training or what the future holds. You’re basing all of that purely on assumptions. In fact, in the inly place with heavy fighting right now, most of it is done by artillery and Wagner.

  8.  @cacwgm  “Appear to be” still requires a knowledge of what they appear to be. Even the actual front line fighters don’t know. You and I certainly don’t. A person here and there, filmed for obvious propaganda purposes are not a reliable source. There might be 20 mobilized fighter or 200 or 2000 or even 20000. We don’t know. We also don’t know if levels of training and equipment are similar among all of them.
