@joshiewat 1. You DO get personal time on deployment. 2. You CAN make videos on the deck. 3. No, you don’t know what it’s like. 4. You are ABSOLUTELY being homophobic. Finally, you forgot to quote whatever it is in the Army creed that forbids it. I rarely accuse people of being bigots, but some people really fit the definition.

@lastinlastout4318 You being trained by your civilian jobs isn’t applicable here. On a military ship you BOTH, work and live there, and you are uniformed almost the entire time, INCLUDING your time off duty. So yes, you ARE allowed to do things of personal nature on your time and you would still be in uniform and on the ship. What he did DOES NOT bring discredit to the Navy or the country. It only upsets your bigotry.

@joshiewat All you’re demonstrating with your comment is your bigotry. Wearing a uniform doesn’t get you anything, but taking the oath, doing the job and deploying at sea ABSOLUTELY earns respect. Perhaps respect for yourselves and others is something you simply didn’t learn in the infantry. The ONLY one making an assumption here is YOU. The rest of us only know that he is an active duty US Navy petty officer in the Navy, and that’s it. We don’t know if he’s got 4 NJPs in his record or if he’s the best goddamn sailor in the Navy. What we ACTUALLY know is that this video doesn’t interfere with his military duties and doesn’t bring disrespect to the uniform, service or country, except in the eyes of those who actually bring it.
