  3. In my area (NY) I rarely see Equinoxs. I see more Terrains (though also rare). Here, it’s mostly Rav4s, CRVs, Foresters and Escapes, in that order.

They’ve never outsold the RAV4 either. While the three have common underpinnings, they are sold separately, styled differently, packaged differently, priced and marketed differently as well. For all intents and purposes, they are different cars from different brands and must be compared separately. Meanwhile, Honda only sells to ZipCar, which amounts to just a few hundred CR-Vs a year. They sell to no other corporate or municipal fleets. It’s their corporate strategic view and well publicized.

  8. Norm T literally NO ONE uses folded front seats, which is why no one makes them. To be fair and honest, you have to compare apples to apples, but then you don’t like fair or truthful, do you?

  9. Ivan Vojt that’s not how it works in the United States. When your lease is over, you still don’t own the vehicle. You’d first have to buy it out, then you can re-sell it, but most of the time, the car will be valued less (wholesale) than your remaining balance, so it will not be beneficial to do that. To make it simple: almost never will an offer on it from a dealer be higher than what your buy out price will be, UNLESS you overpaid on your lease.

  10. Michael Perkins except the back seats ARE cramped. Can’t fit a rear-facing car seat behind a person in a front seat and can’t seat a tall person behind a tall person. Plus, very little light gets in back there, so it feels dark and cramped.
