@adrian33161 That’s factually false. JetBlue has more pitch (32”) in economy. No American plane offers more than 31”. It also doesn’t equip its planes with thin-line seats as American does and JetBlue’s seats are at least 18” wide. American’s narrowest seats are 17” wide.

Spirit prices? No.

Kiedis-Haze Amtrak is a corporation, but it is not, and never has been, “a business.” It is government-owned transport, just like subways and city buses are.

Southwest does fly to Central America and the Caribbean - all international.

JetBlue already controls Spirit’s books, so if they can stop the acceptance of A319neos, they will, and if not, I’m thinking they’ll find someone to sell them to. Don’t forget that the purchase order for the A319, A320 and A321neos contains a clause that allows Spirit to switch between the types. That means all the -19 sales can become -20s or -21s. There might even be a chance that some are turned into A321LR or XLRs..

JetBlue has no planes that can reach BOG from JFK at this time, although they are coming in the future. Neither does Spirit.

Lewis C. Even in Europe, which is the ideal environment for train travel, only two train routes make a profit. The rest are subsidized. What in the world (aside from plain ignorance of reality) would make you think that ANY passenger train system in the U.S. could survive on its own?
2
randall2020 “Pollution costs”, whatever you think that is, isn’t a subsidy. Nice try though. Next time I suggest you actually look up what constitutes a “subsidy” instead of using your imagination.
2
randall2020 that is most literally, NOT the definition of “subsidy”. If I run a red light, but don’t get a fine, I’m not being subsidized. A lack of punishment does not constitute a subsidy. Furthermore, you completely dismiss that an airline might have a private program of carbon offsetting, which quite a few do. You are demonstrating a pure ignorance of economics, public administration and environmentalism.

Ochamchire will be its new port, but Georgia will be its next Crimea. Just wait and see… that’s why the elections turned out the way they did.

@fliteshare Air Superiority fighters ARE interceptors: F-15/F-22.
2
@fliteshare Top speed is irrelevant!
2
@fliteshare No one plays catch-up in combat.
2
@fliteshare Yes, but they wouldn’t be chasing them, they would be intercepting them head-on… the bombers that is. Bombers are slower anyway. Reconnaissance plane (there is only the U-2) wouldn’t be intercepted by a fighter. It flies too high up. It would be shot down by a SAM.
2
@fliteshare Are you some teenager or something? You’re very arrogantly commenting on obviously things you know NOTHING about. It’s becoming funny.
2
Spirit has an order for 120 Airbus jets.
1
djcfrompt Except that’s how much flying costs. I routinely fly NYC to NOLA for under $200 r/t, non-stop.

You mean Chinese militarism.
1
@NickCBax That’s not how mergers and acquisitions work in the real world. The process of merging everything takes years, but even before the closing of the merger and even before the regulatory approvals, both management teams work together to streamline the future company and the merging process. Thar means the jetBlue executives are already in the books and have a say in Spirit’s strategic planning. That does not violate anti-trust regulations.
1
@jatterhog Neither company has an A321XLR. No company in the world does. It hasn’t even been certified yet.
1
@jatterhog The LR would make it, but Spirit has none and JetBlue has very few still, all flying to the UK for now. Actually, the neo will be able to do it, once the companies have enough of them.

@vasilimacharadze139 As if Russia didn’t fight two wars in Chechnya to keep it?
1
@ajisasongko2424 The US doesn’t claim those as its own or move its people in as residents.
1
@ Nice try, Oleg. The US has never ethnically cleansed any nation nor gave out its citizenships to any “breakaway” regions, something Russia does all over the place.
1
@ We all see that you can’t name any examples of anything.
1
@ Well that’s a really stupid lie. Please, I’m not an idiot and I assume you aren’t one either. TRY AGAIN.
1
Andrew Armstrong Not different objectives at all. Also, both are written federal laws.
1
They’re not classified. They WANT the Chinese citizens to see this. The Chinese military already knows anyway.
1
@wfwfewfds The T-72 will have ZERO chances to fire as its range is significantly lower than the Challenger 2’s. The T-72 will take the first (and its last) hit before it even spots the Challenger.
