Some of this is a bit difficult to swallow. For example, the comment about Europe being densely populated. It wasn’t, until about the 18th century. When the Mongols invaded around 1240, all of Europe had about 73 million residents, less than 1/10th of today’s population. 5000 years ago the population of Europe was just 7 million.

@ Why are you guessing? This was already calculated. The world’s population around 3,000 b.c. was just around 14 million according to worldometers. Around 7 million of them lived in Europe.

@pmurnion Why doubt it? GO LOOK IT UP! The population density of the other continents was extremely low back then, compared to Europe, and if you look at human migration patterns you can see how this happened. Europe has more a hospitable climate for human life than any other continent. It had more densely-packed resources as well.
